Participation
The project is currently preparing to form a labor union, and public membership enrollment has not yet opened.
Before formal formation
Workers interested in the project’s purpose, particularly labor issues involving AI, robotics, and automation, may contact the project. An expression of interest does not create union membership before the union rules and admission procedures are formally adopted.
Planned membership
At formation, formal membership is intended to be limited to workers who qualify as workers under Japan’s current Labor Union Act. Subject to the formally adopted union rules, the union is intended to allow individual workers to join across employer boundaries. The rules will define eligibility, admission, dues, member rights, voting, officer elections, meetings, accounting, discipline, withdrawal, and amendment procedures.
What members will organize around
- working conditions affected by AI and automation;
- workplace safety and responsibility in human–robot systems;
- AI-based monitoring, evaluation, and management;
- employment, reassignment, skills, and training during technological change;
- worker access to information and participation when new systems alter work.
