Scope and inquiry handling
This notice covers the public Robot Labor Union Project website and messages voluntarily sent to info@robotlabor.org, including general inquiries and information about workplace issues involving AI, robotics, or automation. It does not cover active membership, registration, identity verification, or voting because none of those mechanisms is currently in operation.
When you send an email, you decide what information to include. It will ordinarily include your email address, the subject and body of the message, and any attachments you choose to send. Please do not send passwords, credentials, unnecessary third-party personal data, trade secrets, or other confidential or sensitive information unless it is genuinely necessary for your message.
Inquiry information may be used to:
- respond to general inquiries
- maintain correspondence records where necessary
- investigate technical or publication issues
- identify, organize, and analyze workplace issues involving AI, robotics, and automation for activity planning, public statements, proposals, surveys, and other labor-related materials
- aggregate trends or examples, where appropriate, in a form that does not identify an individual or employer
- prevent abuse of the inquiry channel
When workplace information is used in public materials, the project will ordinarily anonymize, summarize, or otherwise reduce identifying details as appropriate. If the project intends to publish material that identifies an individual or employer, it will generally seek the submitter’s prior confirmation and consent. This does not prevent handling required by applicable law.
Sending an email does not create membership, registration, endorsement, authorization, representation, or participation in governance.
Storage and transmission
The website is statically generated. Public pages are produced during the site build rather than from a public membership, registration, or contact database.
Email inquiries sent to info@robotlabor.org are transmitted and handled through the email service used for that address. Messages may be retained as correspondence when necessary to respond to an inquiry or maintain an appropriate administrative record. Personal information will be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this notice and will be deleted or anonymized when no longer needed, subject to legitimate administrative, security, or legal requirements.
Routine hosting, security, and mail-service logs may be generated as part of website and email operations. The website does not use those logs to create a public membership or participation record.
Operator and contact
This website and inquiry channel are operated by the Robot Labor Union Project, which is currently preparing to form a labor union. Questions about the handling of personal information may be sent to info@robotlabor.org.
Requests concerning personal information
If you wish to ask whether the project retains personal information about you, or to request correction, deletion, or suspension of use where applicable, contact info@robotlabor.org. The project may request information reasonably necessary to confirm your identity before responding.
Security management
The project takes reasonable organizational and technical measures appropriate to the information it handles, including limiting access to retained correspondence to people involved in operating the project, protecting account credentials, and reviewing how stored information is handled. Website hosting and email providers may process information to the extent necessary to provide their services.
